Locking

Lock and lift bosses in aluminium are fitted as standard.  Stainless steel bolts fitted as standard.

Lifting Keys

Lifting keys screw into the lifting bosses to ensure smooth and secure removal.

Fire Rating

Covers can be fire integrity rated for up to 2 hours in accordance with BS476.

Seals

Primary and secondary fitted seals offer protection against the ingress or dirt and fluids.

• The primary (top) dirt seal is replaceable and prevents the ingress of dust and dirt.
• The secondary and tertiary (outer) EPE seal prevents the ingress of gas, air and water.  There is no grease seal.

Loading

Quoted loadings are based on covers filled to the top surface with a good quality concrete.  Recommended mix Grade C40.   Suitable for internal usage with infrequent slow moving traffic up to 1.5 tonnes.

Cover Rebate

The cover rebate depth is 58mm.

Please note: It is a common error to measure the external dimensions of manhole covers.  The majority of manhole cover dimensions given by any supplier are the internal dimensions so please remember this when ordering.
