Pavetuf Jointing Compound Precautions
Before starting please ensure that the area to be jointed can be drained of water and that the mortar bed on which the paving site needs to be a porous mix of sand and cement. Pavetuf Jointing Compound is suitable for use with most paving types, apart from block paving, however, some paving can be prone to staining. Before applying, test a small area first to ensure your paving does not discolour. For more information on preparing your paving for Pavetuf Jointing Compound, please visit Pavetuf.co.uk. You can also contact the technical team for further advice on 0330 333 8030.
7 Easy Steps to Great Looking Paving
Important: Please note that staining can occur on the paving, especially near the joints, if it is not kept soaking wet throughout the application process, and if any surplus Jointing Compound is not removed from the surface of the paving.
Curing in warm dry conditions will take approximately 18-24 hours. In cooler weather curing can take up to 72 hours. Do not allow Pavetuf Compound to dry on the surface of the paving. We recommend you then seal your paved area with a Pavetuf sealer.
Any unused product can be kept in the tub just add sufficient water to cover the surface of the remaining product. Store in a cool, dry and frost-free area at temperatures between 50c and 300c. Pour off excess water before reuse. Be sure to use within 2 years of the date shown on the tub.
A 15kg bucket will cover approx. 7m2 of paving (based on 450x450mm slabs with 25x8mm joint width). A Natural Paving 600 Series 15.25m2 Project Pack will require approx. 2 tubs of Pavetuf Jointing Compound.
