A contemporary Indian sandstone product, consistent in colour and popular for driveways, paths and gardens. The gentle blue-grey colour of this Indian stone with occasional beige-blue influences complements older properties and buildings.

Kandla or Grey sandstone contains natural iron which may oxidise and appear as brown marks. This may never occur if it does occur there are products that can help remove it or it can be left to fade itself and it may affect some flags more than others. The iron is normally found within grey sandstone from any supplier and is not classed as a fault.

Please note: The circles in the photos may vary slightly from those you receive. These circles are made by hand and not machine and therefore are never exact. The overall dimensions will be those stated plus the manufacturer's tolerances.

  • Includes a squaring-off kit for a neater more sleek finish
  • is the perfect focal point for any garden and can match or contrast with our range of Indian sandstone paving.

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
