These Indian limestone paving setts are perfect for a driveway application that needs to look like it was laid years ago. The grey tones of Kota Grey are ideal for driveways. Used in many modern properties and also ones with rural, old features. The surfaces have had a smoothing technique applied to them to almost have a slightly waxy appearance to aid the aged look. Having a sawn and tumbled edge allows the setts the ability to be laid with a minimal joint and finished with silica sand. They can also be laid with a 10mm joint more like cobbles and cover 7.35m2 per pack. This way you would need to point them and use a cement bed. These have been calibrated to 50mm thick meaning they can be laid as block paving. They can be installed directly on to the screeded bed and finished with silica sand, this will save you money in the long run as its much faster to lay than a cement-based bed. A mixed pack contains the following: 105no 240 x 160mm 80no 160 x 160mm 26no 160 x 120mm

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
