The name responsible for making your decision easier. Part of Aggregate Industries

As part of Aggregate Industries, they are at the forefront of developments to increase the sustainability of garden landscaping materials.

This journey commenced a decade ago, when the company took the decision to focus on and invest in developing sustainable solutions across thier comprehensive range of innovative building products.

Today, this investment is reaping real rewards, with the Aggregate Industries involved in a number of important and influential initiatives designed to make it easy for you, the consumer, both to recognise the most sustainable materials and identify those that have been most responsibly sourced.

The Responsible Source

Chances are, you′ve heard mention of responsible sourcing in the news just recently.

In very straightforward terms, responsible sourcing is all about measuring the specific environmental, economic and social impacts of any product, taking into account such factors as its manufacture, delivery, use, re-use and recyclability.

The good news is that Aggregate Industries is the first company in the world to achieve the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing Certificate from BRE Global.

What does this mean to you? Well, with this unique status, you can have absolute confidence that thier products have been responsibly sourced and that you′re getting the construction industry′s most sustainable and future proof solutions.

In short, you don′t just know what you′re getting - you also know where you′re getting it from.

Responsible sourcing is just one of many important environmental steps taken by StoneFlair.

Ethical trading

As a leading supplier with a reputation for bringing new and innovative hard landscaping products to market on a regular basis, they are more conscious than ever of its corporate and social responsibilities.

Stoneflair are working harder than ever to fulfil its ethical obligations when trading with other nations, and to comply with local laws and internationally recognised standards.

As a Group, they support the principles of the UN Global Compact and ETI Base Code. This is reflected in their Policy and Code of Practice that aims to ensure that they, together with their suppliers fulfil their obligations and responsibilities in order to maintain long-term benefits to all parties.

Examples of the criteria thier suppliers have to meet are: Prohibition of child labour Provision of safe workplace Provision of all employment rights Prohibition of bonded or in any way forced labour Paying wages that meet or exceed national legal requirements

StonemarketStonemarket

Ethically sourced stone is at the forefront of the Stonemarket agenda.

Ethically sourced stone is at the forefront of the Stonemarket agenda. However many suppliers importing Indian natural sandstone are not engaged in auditing how their stone is produced. However, Stonemarket understands that regulation and auditing are essential to ensure international governance and ethical trading with developing countries.

Ethical Trading Initiative

As a socially responsible business, all of our natural stone products are from ethical sources, independently audited through our parent company′s membership of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI).Through this, we are committed to progressively improving conditions in our suppliers' work places and to improving the lives of workers who make our products. We are committed to adopting the ETI Base Code, a widely accepted model code of practice which has the following principles:
No-one should be forced to work
Workers are free to join and form trade unions and bargin with management
Working conditions are safe and hygienic
Child labour shall not be used
  Living wages are paid
  Working hours are not excessive
  No discrimination is practised
  Regular employment is provided
No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed

Stonemarket Ethical Partners

Stonemarket′s Ethical Partners have pledged to stock only Stonemarket ethically sourced stone imported stone so that you, our customers, can be absolutely sure that you will be buying stone that has been ethically manufactured.
